How the modules work together
Here’s one loop, start to finish, using a falls-with-injury review.
- A patient is admitted. The admission comes in through Interfaces and shows up in Patients and Encounters, including which unit they’re on.
- The patient falls. The unit’s nurse manager opens the post-fall review in Forms, already linked to that encounter. Because the injury is rated moderate, a rule makes the root-cause section required.
- An action rule in Actions sees the moderate injury and creates a follow-up for the unit educator. It sits in their queue until it’s done.
- In Insights, the quality team watches falls with injury on a run chart. When the unit starts a new rounding protocol, they annotate the date. A few months on, the chart shows whether the change held.
- Every step is logged in System administration’s audit trail. Nothing was retyped, nothing was edited in place, and nobody had to remember to follow up.
